If you are looking to use translation in SwiftK12, please reach out to SwiftK12 Support so they can map the correct language field for your school district that you are actively using in PowerSchool.
By mapping your school's language codes, you will then be able use the translation functionality in SwiftK12. This will then allow you to send alerts to parents in their preferred language.
Tip: PowerSchool language codes vary from customer to customer so if you are unsure of the language codes that your PowerSchool uses please contact your PowerSchool administrator for further assistance.
To map a language in SwiftK12:
- Go to SwiftK12 > Settings > Language Mappings
- Click the +Add Language Mapping button.
- Select the To Language.
- Enter the code that matches up with the corresponding code you use in PowerSchool.
- Some examples of what codes customers use for Spanish are: S, Spa, Spanish, 2, etc.
- Click the Save button.
Tip: The PS Language Code must match exactly to what you have as the code for students in your PowerSchool, or translation will not work.
Please keep in mind that language translation in SwiftK12 is only available for Voice and Email only.
