In SwiftK12, alert categories are groupings of contact fields/contact information.
- When sending an alert in SwiftK12, you must select a category. By sending an alert to a specific category, any phone numbers or email addresses that are opted into that category will receive the message(s) that were sent in the alert.
Note: There are seven default categories on every SwiftK12 account which are Attendance, Emergency, Fee Alerts, General Information, Grade Alerts, Lunch Balance, and Teacher Message.
