When enabling recipients to reply to your message, it can be helpful to only allow certain responses to reduce or eliminate erroneous responses from the resulting report. if a correct response type is entered by the recipient, the confirmation text will send once. However, If they enter an incorrect response, they will see the message “Invalid Reply. Please Try Again.” This is the recipient's default prompt to attempt to send a valid response again, and this prompt cannot be changed.
Note: what is considered a correct response is not always case-sensitive.
Reply Criteria Type #1: Yes or No
Valid Responses: Yes or No only (not case sensitive).
Reply Criteria Type #2: Numeric Reply
Match Criteria: Must be a string of numbers (Ex: "1," "123," or "38574903024"). You may only have one. If you would like more than one, use the next Reply Criteria Type.
Valid Response: The exact number in the Match Criteria.
Reply Criteria Type #3: Range of Valid Numeric Replies
Match Criteria: A single lowest-highest range that is defined with a hyphen “–“ with the starting number larger than 0 (Ex: 1-10) added to the Match Criteria.
Valid Responses: Any number within the range specified in the Match Criteria.
Reply Criteria Type #4: Custom Alphanumeric Value
Match Criteria: Any text that includes numbers and letters (no special characters permitted).
Valid Response: The exact text in the Match Criteria (case sensitive).
Reply Criteria Type #5: Regular Expression Matching
Match Criteria: Any word or phrase of your choice. Can include numbers.
Valid Responses: Anything that contains the exact word or phrase in the match criteria (this is case-sensitive.) Ex: if "issue" is in the match criteria, then “issue,” "there is an issue," or "there is no issue" would all be correct responses.
